…At how obscure the title is!! It is based of a drawing I did quickly from my favorite part of the book by George Orwell. It isnt exactly how i want it, and im only posting a small image to start off with…if you want a larger reander, i could do it, but my PC isnt all that crash hot.
Ive been doing this all afternoon and since I suck a texturing, i havent done any of that either. The clothes are all placeholders too.

Umm, what scene exactly are you referring to? is it the one where winston is walking down a white corridor with someone? or is it where he is standing in front of a white sheet with someone? or is it the one where he and someone else are looking at something in a white room?
just a thought, but you may want to consider the composition of the scene to perhaps present a bit more than what is currently there. not really much to look at at the moment… as you said, the cloth is a placeholder, and no texturing at all yet, so not much to crit other than the composition 
which is not really all that appealing/interesting at the moment. perhaps a new camera angle to show what is going on, or other objects to put the scene into context? i like 1984, but for the life of me i wouldnt be able to place this scene in the book 
yeh, there is a lot of background work that is needed. It depicts the part where The main character and his newly found woman are in the crowd as it is raining, making a show of support, but they secretly touch. The way orwell handles this bit it really great and I always imagined it in a completely different way to what I have there, but its a start.
I expect to be doing it for a long time.
In the background, there is supposed to be a lot of people, dingy buildings, and a lot of grey.

Would you be willing to show your reference picture? It might help us gauge how you’re progressing.
With regard to the ear, luckily you’ll only ever have to model it once - then use it (suitably tweaked) in all future models. Everyone I’ve spoken to has hated doing it, but got through it.
lol, i havent used a reference pic 
thats why the face is a very stylized macho deal. I originally thought of jonothan Pryce for the character, and ive modelled he face as best I can remember for this next pic. Ive updated a lot of the facial features, around the eyes ect. Involved a lot of re-doing and deleting…i redid the nose 4 times :<
Im very happy with the skin shader though.
