If you do cacti, it is a pain, but it will look best if you make alllll the needles. well maybe not all of them, but a whole lot!

I like it as it is, looks like sunset in Sahara Desert. To make it more evil you can make the sun a little bit darker. I also think the sun is to bright, make scene darker, it’s just my oppinion. Also lower it down so it would be not too far from horizon line. Play with that, see if you like my idea.
There is also a great program for terrain called terragen with which you can create an awesome desert that would look 100% realistic.
yeah, the cactus didn’t turn out too well… so I think I’m gonna go and download tarragen again (btw: thnx Boggy 4 reminding me about it) and work on the landscape… basicly, boggy, I’m taking your advice.
