Finally!! A way to merge verticies easilier! In 2.27!
I’ve been waiting for this! No more scale down to zero then remove doubles!
(Is that even a word? easilier? “more easily” maybe?)
Well, post stuff about 2.27 here…
YAHOO!

YAHOO!
can’t wait to try it .
that merge feature rules, although i find myself scaling down and rem doubles’ing, just from muscle memory i guess.
sniff WAAAHHH! I’m at the library, and I don’t think they’d be keen to the idea of me downloading something unknown to them on their computers.
Uhh, you could do that without scaling down anyway. Just make sure that only the vertices you want to merge are selected, then increase the limit under the rem double button.
Cool…
Still be using Tuhopuu though, once you try Blinn textures there’s no turning back…
Or maybe just easier…
2.27 downloading now…
SHIT!!! why the hell do i always miss the new releases!!! i was on the net like everyday last week, and when its finally out, then im not online!!! :x

WOOT, WOOT… :D:D
And it says that it also has an auto skinning Armatures feature!!!
I’m downloading this thing right now…
Ohhhh my…
I gotta try this new release…
Come on, download baby… Faster… faster… :X :X :X :X
Spyros.
AWRIGHT!!! I just managed to dl it and tried out simple armatured character with autoskinnin. I must say, that it really works great! I must get home and try the auto skinnin with my more complex characters, but it seems, that this really could ease ones live.
The multilanguage option is also a sweet thing. I wound my native language there, tough I am not certai will I use this option, 'cause I’ve gotten used to use Blender in english.
Too bad the toon shading options did not make it in time… Oh well… canät have everything.
yeap that is so very true
but it looks like an awsome release never the less. Plus it seems to run a bit faster for me.
And isnt this thread ontopic? It dosnt seem very offtopic?
2.27 bites.
2.26 just ran slow, 2.27 doesn’t run at all on my comp.
Oh, damn. I was hoping that 2.27 would run faster on my computer but from what valarking says about it not working at all I don’t think it’ll run that well. But some of the new features will be useful, so I’ll download it anyway. Just to see what it’s like.
hmmm… 2.27 works really great on my comp.
Maybe thats just my computer though.
Well, the autoskinning feature works pretty well, except that sometimes it mixes up vertecies and two bones control one verticie and so on. Saves a lot of time though!
what’s wrong with 2 bones controlling 1 vertex?
Martin
2.27 runs fine for me - better than 2.26 especially in fullscreen
I run a P150 without a 3d card, so any speed increase is welcome
Well, I guess it’s a step in the right direction, I was hoping for some new fuctions, what I’m most concern at the moment is the texture plug-in, raytracing and cad like features.
Well, from what I’ve seen so far, 2.27 is very good, except from the fact that the buttons and the “letters” look a litle bit “weird” (probably it’s my graphics card or my Mesa libs version…).
Is it me, or does it actually render a little bit faster than 2.26???
Spyros.
Yip, its definately faster (for me at least (window’s XP, athlon processor)). In 2.26 The program would grind almost to a halt above say 2500 faces with 3x sub-surf, nnow it runs reallllyyyyy sweet[/quote]
