using 2.28 on linux
create a cube at frame 1 / i-key loc size rot
move cube / advance frame to 25 / i-key
return to frame 1
set duration to 25
alt + A
there is a long lag before the cube moves?
did i miss a setting?
thanks

No it should work this way except
advance frame to 25 / move cube /i-key
instead of
move cube / advance frame to 25 / i-key
(this way it wouldn’t work, the cube would snap back to its state in frame 1)
By the default shape of the Ipo curve the movement is slower at the start and at the end.
What do you mean by “set duration to 25” ?
Sometimes called “slow in - slow out” as tordat mentioned it is the shape of the IPO curve. Go to the IPO curves for the location of the cube and select them. press TAB to go into edit mode. Select the points at frame 1 and 25 and press the V key. This will convert the ipo points to hard points… don’t know the real name for them. But the motion will be a constant speed as apposed to a slow-in slow-out.
there is a pause before the new audio syncing feature kicks in… if you don’t have any audio, try setting “sync” and “scrub” off in soundbuttons.

most audio hardware these days has a delay, which can be used as excuse to keep blender’s audio export capabilites limited (you can synch you audio back in your editiong program, it is just a linear offset of a few frames)
the delay is also a problem in audio editing programs. If you want to record somethign in synch with another recording you will have to offset the result (after recording while playing) to fix the delay.
