2.33 guide

Ok, I bought the 2.33 guide for 50 bucks, and now I see that I’ve been jipped, it isn’t any help, and besides, 2.41 is much better…

no, your post isn’t any help. how can you be so obtuse?!

Look, Blender changes with every release; it’s evolving software. Figuring out how to translate things from one version to another won’t be a waste of time. That book is an excellent reference manual even though there are differences.

thats alwasy the problem with fast develloping softwares.
and blender changes fortunately a lot at the moment.
unfortunately that is not good for printed manuals.

but remember you get blender for free. 50 bucks are not a waste
you just supported the project. see it this way!

Jipped? I’ve donated more than that in the past.

it isn’t any help
Bollocks.

He didn’t want to donate. He sent his cash expecting the book to be worth it… and found that it was not. Whether or not the book itself is really any use is irrelevant. What matters is that he isn’t satisfied.

Personally, I think Blender.org should stop selling them. All it’s really doing is ripping people off.

i bought the game guide and the blender 2.3 guide (i hope were talkin about the same thing here) and ide have to say even though stuff has changed expscialy for the game kit i would not konw anything about blender there 2 of the besy perchased i have made in a while and thats my opinion

I purchased the 2.3 guide before 2.4 and even though some parts are outdate the manual is still defenitely worth it. I look at it all the time for different modeling techniques. The basic for lighting, modeling, scenes, and animation. Of course, particules and armatures have changed but the concept is still the same. I still use my manual even if it’s a bit outdated.

things like curve editing are great. lots of features i never knew blender had :stuck_out_tongue:

I too bought the manual and agree that for a complete newcomer not just to Blender, but to the world of 3d graphics in general, it has been invaluable.

Cruiously, when I bought a manual entitled 2.3, I didn’t expect it to actually include 2.4 related items, therefore wasn’t dissapointed:)
