2.33a with Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer MMB

I’ve got Blender 2.33a installed on my home machine which has a Microsoft Intellimouse Optical on it.

I’ve noticed that when I click the middle mouse button (MMB) it doesn’t function as expected – it causes the DOS box window (that says something about “-v for traceback”) to pop to the front of the Blender window. I’ve checked the View & Controls -> Emulate 3 buttons and no matter what state that’s in, the middle mouse button doesn’t work as expected. I know about Alt+LMB, but would prefer to use the MMB.

Can anyone suggest a way to make it work? Thanks in advance!

Select the Mouse options from your Control Panel. In there, there should be a tab to associate behaviors with mouse buttons (the first one IIRC). Set the middle mouse button to "Standard action (or “Default action”, I’m not home right now, I can’t check). Right now, you probably have it on “Toggle between programs” or something akin.

Thank you very much. I’ll try it when I get home tonight, and will let you know how it goes.

actually, next window is the default

AutoScroll is the option you want

Thanks to everyone – I got it working by setting the middle mouse button to “AutoScroll”. That should go in the FAQ, docs, or something…

Ah true, sorry for the misleading answer. Should have waited until I came home to reply.
