The ac3d import/export option does not seem to be bundled with Blender 2.53. I’ve searched all my blender folders - especially …/.blender/scripts and …/2.53/scripts - looking for the ac3d python files and see none. I’ve also copied the ac3d_import/export.py scripts from 2.49b and tried to install them in 2.53 without success.
Will someone please point me in the right direction?
I guess the script for that export is not yet written for 2.5.
2.4x scripts are not compatible with 2.5
Just be patient, or write the script yourself.

Ooops … I forgot about another path with another hidden Blender file: /home/my_name/.blender/scripts/ - which contains ac3d import/export and many other python files. (I was previously looking under /usr/share/blender/.blender/scripts/addons or io).
Now I’m trying to work out how to enable the appropriate scripts under User Preferences.
Still need help.
EDIT: the path /home/my_name/.blender/scripts/ is for Blender 2.49b and not 2.53 (ooops again). As suggested, I’ll be patient and wait, thanks .
