New Beta will be out soon. According to Ton it will be based on build 31862.
Any news on if there will be anything funky in this or just bug fixes?

From the logs, the only big change from beta3/2.53 and beta4/2.54 is all the refinements to the python naming, which should be more or less stable now.
And lots of minor bug fixes.
Nice to hear that 2.54 will be out so soon after 2.53 was released. Though all I want is the release where they finally implement B-mesh xP

Sigh… had to spend another 30 minutes revising keymap and addon scripts for stuff like:
continuous_mouse -> use_mouse_continuous
Let’s hope all that renaming is done for good.

Waiting for bone groups to make some sense as it did for 2.49. I don’t think this will be implemented yet. Bone Groups in 2.5 is pretty much useless. Also action channels can’t be arranged…this is very painful and time consuming in 2.5.
However, overall 2.5 is much better than 2.49… I don’t even dream going back to 2.49. :eyebrowlift:
I think they have a feature freeze on at the moment. And cool splash, the best Sintel splash so far.
