2.54 sequencer plugin problem

I’m trying to figure out how to load a sequencer plugin, but when I go to add -> effect -> plugin it throws me an error message at the top telling me “Sequencer plugin ‘<path from which I loaded my last video clip>’ could not be loaded”. I have set the plugin path in the user preferences. I don’t really understand this error.

I was expecting it to either bring up a list of found plugins or give me a browser window from which I could select a plugin to use. I assume I’ve done something wrong or forgotten some setting here, but I have no idea what. Hoping someone will shed some light for me.

1)Does this plan to be fixed before official release?

2)Does anyone know how to keyframe effect properties in 2.49?

i hope it gets fixed in time to use with my current project.

Sequencer in 2.5 will be unstoppable… with every effect being keyframable?! holy sh*t! i’ve been needing a replacement on linux for after effects for so long and this more than replaces it for me. (for what i do)
