2.55b freezes after properties window disappears

Here’s my experience on Windows 7.

I’m just starting my model by mirroring a half-cube then placing some loop cuts. The properties window blanks out (the tools does too) then Blender freezes up.

I’ve been modeling on this system under Windows XP and 2.49b without problems. Should I blame this on W7, B2.565b or both?

Maybe other programs are disturbing blender, or get the latest from graphicall.org :smiley:

downloading from Graphicall.org? I just used the links off blender.org Is there a difference?

The disappearing window occurs consistently right about when I do the first loop cut. Freeze up occurs when I place the second loop cut. When I made the video, I had jing running to do the capture. Otherwise, only Blender would be running.

After I post this, I’m going to go back and see if it’s a permissions problem.
