2.5D jumping

hi. i was just woundering how to make my charecter preform a falling animation when ever he is not touching the ground or after she has jumped XD oh and also double jumping any and all help iam very thankful for X3 a blend file would be great to put in my reffrenc folder if possible

just create a ray pointed at the ground and jump property and do something like this:


if not ground_ray.positive:
    cont.activate(fall_state)
    if jump.positive and own["jump_prop"] > 0:
        cont.activate(jump_movement)
        own["jump_prop"] = 0
elif ground_ray.positive:
    cont.deactivate(fall_state)
