2.71 Crash on start-up (Entry point not found)

Hello, i just downloaded the 2.71 update and after installing and running the blender.exe i get this error :
( The procedure entry point GetLogicalProcessorInformation could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll )

Iv’e installed the “vcredist_x86.exe” that the download page told me to get if blender crashes on start-up.

I’m using windows XP 32bit, the last version i had installed 2.69 worked fine.

Does anyone have the same problem as me? or know what that error means?
I cant use blender on this computer anymore :frowning:

I remember reading about support for XP being dropped; you might want to check into that.
