2.75 - Area Lamps broken in BI?

Am i seeing things? Is this known and fixed already?

Area light appears only after switching to Cycles and clicking Portal on and off.

Area lights in 2.75 RC2 work correctly for me
Load factory settings, change lamp to area lamp, change size etc

Richard, thank you. Downloaded latest and this is gone. I keep making config directories - no settings trailing from some other version i have.
