2.82 - Render in New Window - how to choose where to render?

2.82 is rendering in a new window on top of Blender. It used to be easy to change that, but I cannot find such a control any more. I want the render to appear in my layout, not on top of it.

I have looked at the “Render” menu at top, but found no control there. Also nothing in the render panel, where it used to be. I have an image editor open in my layout, but Blender just opens another image editor as a new window and ignores the one in my layout.

Thanks for any clues.

Preferences > Interface > Editors > Temporary Windows : Render in… / File Browser… :wink:
