So the docs for v2.9x show 3ds as an import file type. But I see no option (I can see) in v 2.90.2 to import a 3DS file. Is this just a temporary situation or is there an addon that I can’t see that needs to be installed?
I have a ton of 3DS models in my library and now I can’t use any of them?
AFAIK the situation there is that there’s no one to maintain the 3DS importer, so it’s no longer supported. You can always download an older release of Blender and use it to import your 3DS files into .blends to use with current versions.
