2003 Blender F1 Challenge Favorites announced!!

Thanks to all of the Challengers in this year’s contests. They were all very worthy of being a 2003 Favorite but alas, the votes have been counted and the favorites are…

http://www.seesystems.com/f1/

congratulations to everyone! I’m going to sharpen my blending skills, and maybe I’ll come up with an entry for next year’s challenge (assuming there is one, of course.)

Congrats guys!

X-WARRIOR: A great entry man. I told you that you would be in the top 5.

Man, I finished 4th. DO I still get a prize? :stuck_out_tongue: (j/k)

BgDM

Congrats to all the winners!

Can we see the other results of the votes?

Martin

congrats guys!!

only one person i voted for ended up in the top 5…xw.

Great job everyone, especially X-Warrior! This year’s competition was tough though, I spent at least a good 30-45 minutes deciding between two entries. Excellent!

Thanx CurtiS for organizing the copetition this year too!

Congratulations X-Warrior, myself, le-topograph, BgDM, basse and Robert.

Stefano

Only two of my favorites were in top 3 :-? … but all my favorites were in top 5.

Congratulations to the winners and everyone in top 5. I am sure it has been a tough competition.

Very high quality works from everyone.

Congratulations for everyone who has entered! This was one of the highest quality blender contests yet !

Well done people and congrats to the winners.
The entrys get better and better evry year.
And big thanks to curtis for your usual well run contest

Tricky

CurtisS: If we did not win, can we still order a poster of our entry from you? If so, how much do you want for it?

BgDM

Theeth, I don’t have the final vote tally with me. If I get a chance later, I will post the vote count for those who are interested. There were some close races!

BgDM, I don’t know what a fair price would be but I am sure we could agree on a price for you and anyone else who would want a poster of their F1 entry. Of course, it never occured to me that anyone else would want a poster. Is anyone else interested?

CurtisS, I am definitley interested.

Maybe after i actually finish the thing though. :stuck_out_tongue:

Just let me know how much you want.

BgDM

look at the top favorites closely and maybe you will be TOPS next year!”

That’s it folks!

Can’t we have a semi-annual contest? I just started with blender :frowning:

Well, there’s the weekend challenges, the Blender reel, maybe the On The Haunt contest before Halloween…

Lol…thanks CurtisS…you gave me something to look foward to! I must say though, your contest had a lot of great entries and I look foward to entering next year!

Congrats everyone!

S68: please send me your address so I can send you the
Blender 2.0 manual.

Desoto-111: Joined one week ago and already 460 posts?
Man, that’s gotta be a record! (Be afraid S68 and theeth!)

Chris

Is the theme for next year’s contest going to be the same do you think? How about the rules? Is there anythign that didn’t go well this year that you’d like to fix?

Hos, You are on top of things! I was going to send Stefano’s address. Let me know if he doesn’t respond (yeah, right  ).

Desoto, rules changes? Hmmm… well, … I am open for suggestions. I do not want to limit people’s imagination but it’s possible that I could push for a certain style like requiring an open cockpit to help keep the F1 “feel” intact.
