Update for my 2007 Chevy. Check it out! Any advice?
Very cool images. But you have to improve on your lighting a lot. Right now everything looks so flat. But great detail. Do you put a texture on the surface of the first picture?
Nice death star. To me that looks pretty accurate to the kind of structures that were on the real death star. Did you use diagrams or sketches from the movie?
Yeah I have never in my 3+ years using blender ever had good lighting skills. Keep checking back for updates on the 2007 chevy!
2nd post-
Its all modeled from a Sketch book from the original starwars movie. The panels are are done individually and added together randomly. The model of today is about 5 times the size as that one. Hopefully I can animate a little dogfight scene on my day off to show the whole thing off.
In the original movie the deathstar was made of 1,000’s of individual panels made of molded plastic. I took the same idea and put it in 3d.
Check back on the EYE project page. I put the panels so you can see.
I actually am working on new updated panels with more color and lights. Now that I have a better graphics card I can do more. I was limited with my old card. Now I can render the video in about day when I finish the scenes.

btw ‘palpatine’ isn’t palpatine any more…Darth cidious had many clones to make sure his dark grasp was tight if he was to be killed or die (which happened many times) and palpatine was just one of his clones.
Oh and X wings don’t seem like a very smart move on the rebelion’s part…they would have gone with Y-wings, B-wings, quite a few A-wings and some X-wings…

I will definatly remake some models. This model just got too big for me to handle. So i am going to re-do it and add some more color. I think my hopes of animating it are pretty much gone. I want to focus more on stills.

hey man, anyone who is an Invader Zim fan is a friend of mine 
i would suggest doing a bunch of stills instead of the movie from the EYE project…(please don’t stop with the Star Wars 
)
