This is a piece I created for a local art competition for our annual city celebration (named “Steel Days” because a long time ago a local steel mill was one of the major employers in the area). As part of each year’s Steel Days we have a parade and the local high school marching band is one of the major entries. *
* Here in the United States many high schools (roughly ages 14-18) have a marching band in addition to other forms of band and music classes.
