2080Ti support in Blender?

  1. Can Blender 2.79 support 2080Ti? Or do only 2.8 support RTX?

  2. If I invest in 2*2080Ti, should they be setup with or without SLI (performance/rendering)?

  1. 2.81+ for rtx accelerated rendering, 2.83+ for viewport denoising

Can the Blender 2.79 take advantage of non-rtx (regular GPU) rendering from 2080Ti?

I’m asking because I like to use 2.79 for modelling and preview rendering, 2.8x for final rendering/animation.

That would work well, yes. The CUDA performance of the 20X0 series is a significant improvement over the 10X0 series, even without RTX acceleration.
