2D Character Animation

I am working on a 2d side-scrolling game and I am going to use armatures for character animation since sprite animation is way too confusing for what it does. Would it be a good idea to use a cube as a bounding box around the armature and object, or to leave it as it is?

Thanks alot

You almost always want to use a bounding box, in my experience. The armature’s not made for collision, and neither is the deformed mesh. You could use a Bullet collision mesh like Sphere, but it might just be best to have your code or logic bricks and physics centralized in a single bounding object.

Okay, so bounding box is the way to go. Thanks
