Hello guys,
in case anyone is currently also working with 2D Gaussian Splats, I made some minor modifications to this addon by Alex Carlier. The addon now allows you to import the results from 2D Gaussian Splatting into Blender. It looks a lot better if you disable “As point cloud (faster)” and increase the display percentage. The addon only works in Blender 4.0 with Cycles and is far inferior to the SIBR viewer provided by the 2DGS authors. But maybe it is still helpful to some people.
