2D slices of a 3D mesh

Slicing a 3D model into 2D slices is a generic challenge. The 2D slices can, for example. be used to make a cheap 3D model of a object using layers of cardboard. The Slicer addon for Autodesk Fusion 360 was made with that purpose in mind. However, this Slicer addon is no longer updated or supported. This is source of great frustration for many it seems.
I have used Geometry Nodes in Blender 3.0 to create another way of slicing a 3D geometry. I hope you find it useful.

Here is the node tree:

This is the original 3D object:

This is the object in about 50 slices. I have extruded each slide a little to make the slices easier to visualize.

Any ideas or comments on how to close the toolchain completely and get the data from Blender into a CNC machine or a cardboard cutter will be highly appreciated.
