2nd n00b question about Fluid Simulation.

Basically: what are all the .bobj.gz files Blender generates for? Are they the individual frame meshes? What happens if I delete them after baking the simulation? Is their size the size that increases when you make a simulation of higher resolution?

thanks.

Yes they are the meshes shaps for each frame of the animation.
If you delete them you are deleteing that baked simulation.
The size of the files will increse with higher resoultion as the number of verts per mesh / mesh size will increase.

but if I delete those files the simulation still runs…

Yeah, they’re not exactly crucial for the fluidsim to function. If you delete them and attempt to replay/render the results, all you get is the block shape of the domain. But you can always re-bake them anyway…
