Agreed, $ 10 for modeling a complex thing, plus Texturing, plus rigging and even possibly animation?
Look the faster guy would do all in maybe 24 hrs? $10 / 24 hrs = 0,41 /hr ! I think you should raise it at least to $ 60 and you might find someone. Honestly $ 10 won’t pay even for a nice cup of creamy coffee during 24 hrs. It takes time my friend, do not underestimate people’s time.
Yeaaaaah, hi…no. Best to seek out pro bono modelers instead rather than offering an insultingly low amount of money for such work. If this is a game you plan on selling, do you intend on paying any royalties to the artist?
I think, in this case, it’s much better to ask for someone to do it for free than to offer such an amount of money.
If you get it for free, you get it with “no warranty”. If you get it paid, the person building the model may feel the “professional” need to do a good work… which is not paid by any means.
I would suggest not to add “paid” in the title of the thread next time, unless you are offering a reasonable payment.
You can always ask for free models, released under a license that allows commercial usage and see what happens. At least no one will take offend for that.
I am not saying that it’s not fair or whatever. You have clearly stated the price, and people can choose to take it or leave it. Furthermore, a newbie like me could do it, as my first 3D paid work (obviously, the quality won’t be that good), but I understand that more professional users may feel deceived by the offer.
