3D Environments and Real Photos - Compositing

I did some simple still frame composites in Photoshop with some 3D environments I made in Bryce, Blender and 3ds Max. They’re pre-visualizations for what the film should sort of look like. Some of you may recognize the setting.

first one is made in bryce, this is me

second one is made in blender, me as well

third one is made in 3ds max, last one of me

fourth one is made in blender -- this is Cessen

fifth one is made in bryce -- this is also Cessen

sixth one is made in bryce, these are some of our fellow students

And, in case any of you are curious as to what I look like, I’m the funny-lookin’ fella in the bottom two pictures (me and Soren go to the same school).

Hey, nice work!

Was this done with keying, or did you do retouching to get the composition correct?

Just curious: I’m playing around with keying and am interested to see how Blender stacks up.

Good! You should call them self portraits 1, 2 etc…

This was retouching and lighting adjustment.

Me and Cessen are hoping to create a compositor that will handle high-motion video (with hair) with good accuracy. More on that later, maybe…
