I have the youtube channel link where you can see more tests and future content at my profile here at Blender Artists.
I’ve been wanting to test my theory, but I am a fan of the grease pencil, so I don’t recommend the Blender Foundation removes that unique feature. This test began while watching some anime cartoon. What if Blender can go beyond grease pencil but all using special rules of making anime look and move like 2D dimensional animation without the notice that it is 3D, and using the freestyle feature combined with a special customized cell shaded material that looks it was painted on a transparent sheet? Here is some is another test using an asteroid rock with the customized freestyle setting switched on.
