3D-Math Education

So while there are a lot of youtube videos nicely presenting vector math and all, nothing beats a nice hands-on experience… so someone showed me this today:

Which is a nice learning video in itself, but I was wondering if there is a similar setup for geometry-nodes already? Or does someone know about some interactive webpages teaching that stuff? My older child will have to deal with vectors at school in about a year or two, so putting some fun into it might be good.
cheers!

I’m not sure you can grab something like that somewhere, that said it’s not super difficult to build. I tend to do simple setups as well when teaching vectors…

Indeed, keep in mind that it might be a bit different, in CG most of the time we do “math for artists” , which focus more on results rather than how things works. For instance I bet in schools you’ll be taught how to compute a dot product. In CG we are more interested in what it is and where we can use it artistically, I use many dot products in every projects but I have no clue on how to compute it …

It’s always good to get a visual representation of vectors which your son’s teacher is likely to provide in it’s own way, from there I’m not sure if this learning material for artists will bring a great advantage to a student !

have fun !
