hi fairly new to blender, wanted to know if i modeled and animated (simple keyframe animation) a figure in max is there a way to export it to blender? i know the model can be exported as 3ds but tis there a way to keep the animation intact as well?

.fbx is great for exporting from Blender to Max, but it won’t work the other way as Blender still has no .fbx importer.
Currently there is no straightforward way to do this.
