3D model from MRI scans

Hi Guys,

I am a computer science student and have a project where I need to develop a 3d model from MRI scans. Is it bossible in blender. If it is, can someone suggest me how to do that. Or can someone send me links or tutorials of that. I have not found any tutorials on that till now. I am confused and want help. Thanks in advance.

been there, done that. look in the python forum, search for “point cloud” or “surface skinning”. A script there does that. enjoy!

Matt Ebb was doing something like this with volumetric rendering of voxel data slices from scans as seen in this video: http://vimeo.com/5290063. Matt’s site. Not sure where this capability currently stands with all the 2.5x stuff going on.

Thanks Guys…
