3D molecules in blender

Is it possible to create 3D views of molecules? I have the program ChemSketch to create molecules in the .mol format.

It would be possile to create an importer python script for the .mol format, the format description is pretty easy. If you really need this I would suggest asking a python coder to create it.

I had an importer for the XYZ and PBD formats though it’s not up to date with the current python API (fixes should be easy).

If you’re interested.

I am interested in your suggestion. But I have no experience with phyton and XYZ and PBD formats. Maybe I need another program than ChemSketch to make these formats. This is how a .mol file of alcohol (ethanol) looks like:

How can I import this is blender?
