you will have to sign an NDA before you can be told about the storyline.

EDIT: If you don’t get the joke or reference, rockinoutt93, hang around here long enough, you will.

@Richard, I lold :stuck_out_tongue:

Leave it to Bill Murray to smash a clock without a single change of expression haha, such a good movie

Let me guess:
The “93” indicates that you are 17. (1993–2010)
You’re relatively new to blender, and still starstruck by the awesomeness :slight_smile:
The other 2 people are family, friends, or other relatively new blenderheads.
You don’t really know the full storyline yet, and you don’t have any concept artwork.

If you are, in fact, 17, then an NDA might not actually be legally binding. (Not sure on this)

I seriously doubt anyone will want to commit to your project, sight unseen, and sign an NDA.

Of course, I could easily be wrong. :wink:

I am glad. We may as well get some humor out of it. :yes: Lord knows we need it.

@Rockinoutt93

It’s interesting that you want people to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement for an Open Source project. Especially for the storyline. How can it be an Open Source project if I am signing away my rights as an artist to work on your project?

Don’t worry about someone stealing your story line – worry more about getting your project done. There are no really original story lines. Even Star Wars and Sintel used derivative story lines that writers and filmmakers have used over and over countless times.

If you’re serious about getting people for your project start by posting your storyline and written ideas, and a script if you have one. Your written work will be copyrighted in case your worried about someone “stealing” it.

You are the rightness of this thread.

ftw

Richard, I have argued against you on many points, but you hit the mark perfectly :smiley: I need to pry the grin off my face with powertools…

Rockinoutt93… I prepared but erased a long paragraph on why you stepped in poop here. Just know that people are not trying to be dicks, but you have gone about as wrong about your entry (7 posts?? How many hours were you here before this?) as you possibly could without calling someone’s mother bad names. Research the comunity a bit, check the links people gave. And once you understand why Richard’s video hit the spot dead-on, try to set up a community project. Not before that.

yea, i know its quite a stretch and the nda does not have my name on it for i am only a messanger, so to speak. basically we have a small storyline idea and would like to get people together to collaborate with and kind of build from the ground up. and i have been using blender for quite some time :wink:

Ha ha ha. That’s great. Me too. So I could not resist. Glad I am not the only one who sees the humor in that connection.

And for the record, for what it is worth. Since you mentioned it. Sorry for being such a dick if that is the way I came across on that thread a little bit ago. I thought about it quite a bit, even went back and read it again and, yeah, I guess I was going though a time there, other things going on in life and I was a little irritable I think and it showed in the tone of some of those posts. We don’t have to agree. But at the same time I think I did come across a bit harsh and too over bearing and judgmental in parts toward you.

Anyway, glad I could make you laugh for a change. Well, ha, in a good way! lol!

OK highjack over.

Rockinoutt93 just realize all humor aside, you are not alone you are definitely not the first and you should hang out here and post some work. Love to see it.

This community is about growing and learning as an artist. That is why I come.

Splurge on it dude!

@Richard: No worry, you’re a worthy debate opponent, and I run a bar. I’m used to handling the hard cases :wink:

@Rockinoutt: Seriously, just tell people the basic plot, and what kind of help you need. You’re not hiring, so stop planning it that way. A bit of story, a bit of insight, and people may just take interest. It’s a long, hard walk to run projects, and you really are not helping yourself on this one right now…

@Pipeline: lol you run a bar??? Takes all kinds to make a forum, I guess xD

Yup. It’s not mine, I just run it day-to-day. But I think you’d be surprised at the kind of people in here. I think I have encountered at least two truckers, a medical doctor, and of course a dozen engineers. Oh, and tons of absurdly talented teens :smiley:
