3d print STL files for Kickstarters

Hey there guys,

have any of you had experience selling 3d print STL files on Kickstarter?

I’m just wondering do they host the files or is there some other avenue to go down?

I’m also asking Kickstarter support, but thought I’d ask those who may have done this first hand.

Kickstarter isn’t really designed for that, honestly, unless you’re going to be releasing a huge package of files as one big project? (and, assuming all of those files were made by you)

There are plenty of better platforms to sell STL files, that are better suited to what you want to do. Etsy is a popular choice. Cults3D is another one I see often. And then you have the more generic: Turbo Squid and the like…
