3D TEXT for 2D graphics mini tutorial

Ever needed to get that 3D look for your 2D layout. It’s easy if you cheat a little to get flat text with that 3D look.

  1. Enter your text (227 has TrueType font support)
  2. Use Ext1(depth) and Ext2(bevel)
  3. Alt-C Convert to Curve, Alt-C Convert to mesh
  4. Select back verticies, move and scale.
  5. Set camera to Ortho if you want the text to be flat.
