3DGURU's Plotter :)

Hi

POEM :-
after flerting with python for 1 hour
outcomes 3DGURU’s Plotter
created with the BGE
it rocks , you agree with me ?
it will create any graph
dino , elephant and even a giraffe .

i want to share you with some images of the 2D graphs plotter , which i have created with blender’s Game Engine

the full plotter which supports user enters functions is soon , …
after that it will support 3D graphing as well  < works but in beta>

10 % complete , i will use all of my effort to make it alive and benifitial for all even
for enginers  .

bye

This looks cool!

nice work

What’s the plot equation to make dinos, elephants and giraffes?:spin:

That’s cool, and that’s crazy,
you haven’t been lazy.
It’s quite easy to see
3DGURU’s graph is liked by me.:eyebrowlift:

Hi , currently , it works only with functions not rules , i mean , i can create a half circle but not complete one :frowning: .

wow, does it appy to ipo’s?

If it is like my graphing calculator, then you will need two functions to draw a full circle.
It’s because of how square roots work. (n)^2 = (-n)^2, so if y - x^2 = then y = plus-or-minus square root of x.
So you need a positive and a negative function to simulate the plus-or-minus operator.
And that’s not lame to have to do that, at least it better not be, or else my expensive graphing calculator is lame .
Maybe when you add a user interface you could include an option to toggle whether or not it automatically simultaneously graphs an inverted version of the function.

PS:
Don’t worry about engineers, I’m sure they have more sophisticated graphing programs than could ever be done with Blender GE (in it’s current state). But you could make it for the benefit of all us Blenderheads!

^^BRILLIANT IDEA

this is in the agenda

i know that , it was a joke  .

not yet , i will think about it .

here goes some fancy random plots

How are you generating all those lines on the fly?

:confused:Are they just a texture of a green dot that get’s added?

Jason Lin

Are they just a texture of a green dot that get’s added?

cubes  .

btw , the circle was achieved in the plotter  .

Very nice. I have two questions perhaps you would answer. What was the original use envisioned by you when it was concieved, or would it be more of an academic exercise?

Very nice.
thanks .

actually in the calculus book in the university , there were a section talking about expressing
joulses <forgot the spelling> equations that do fancy curves , and how they were expressed with two equations , and starting from there … this started .

ok , here goes the blend , the idea of it is <| simple |> , it can be understood even for new comers , i’m lazy to complete this file becuase it’s not fun anymore LoL , here goes the blend.
a small part of the blend not the complete one though .
