I am having problems with animations being saved when exporting in 3DS. The animations simply ‘aren’t there’. I’ve tried armature animation with weight paint and parenting, shape key animation, and texture animation. The meshes come out fine, but nothing is animated. Anyone have a clue here?
The .3ds format is 20 years old, long before armatures, shape keys etc. The only animation a .3ds file can support is old school vertex animation. Move the vertices and keyframe each pose.
Choose a better format for export.
What about fbx? Btw, thank you for telling me that. I was beginning to think I was crazy
