I tried some different 3ds max .3ds importers, but there are no textures/texture coordanites. Can anyone point me to a script that can do this?

I did some modifications to the original script and imporved texture support.
Thanks! It works perfectly, allthough the normals are a little off. Really great!
Oh, howabout you make the objects that have different textures seperate so I don’t have a hopeless jumble of texture coordanites.
If you want to seperate by textures - “Images?”, then just go into face select mode and use “Same UV”
Sorry, where is that? lol
EDIT: Nevermind, I found it, but what does that have to do with my problem?

You don’t happen to have an exporter as well, do you? That would be great.
I do now,
Its not mine, but I have reworked the old code so its now 4.4x faster, as well as removed a bug in the 3ds exporter that expoeted all scenes at once and crashed blender.

I actually didn’t find it. Where is it?
In face select mode
__Select (Menu Item)
____Same UV
In the UV menu?
What is the hotkey?
Arg.
The 3d window has a HEADER-
In face select Mode there is a menu on it called SELECT.
Well, your script does not import textures, it only imports UV. I would like it to detect which parts of the model uses different textures and seperates the model accordingly. I want these models for games, not renders. This script works perfectly for models with only one texture, though.
Well- it should import textures.
email me the offenting files, useually this is a path/case issue. or image files are Gif’s or Tiff’s
