Ok so I set up the camera the way I want it but after a bit the Camera gets off axis with the character and all controls don’t work after that here is the .blend file need help.3rd person testblend.blend (2 MB)
New note character seems to just move to the left don’t know why.
Was able to make a temp fix by rotate the character at -0.085 degrees all the time but it has to be something in the code cant seem to find what is messing up tho.
Ya I looked at that did not really find it helpful more confusing and the code you gave I don’t know what to put it on have tried the camera and the player did not seem to work here is the newest version https://docs.google.com/open?id=0B42JHBxcagzVX0h0N1gxUzlMWk0
Get rid of the “MouseLook.py” and “Text” scripts running on the camera and it will work fine.
I have done that in the new file but it still does not work here is the new version if you want you can edit that file any one with this link can https://docs.google.com/open?id=0B42JHBxcagzVVDIzMW5xamtkZm8 thank you for helping me I just cant get stuff to work in blender with out massive problems then it will just work and I dont know why.
Oh, forgot to tell you to turn on true level pulse mode for the script I gave you.
Also, the script apprently still doesn’t work when you’re looking up with the camera. Replace it with this one.
import bge
cont = bge.logic.getCurrentController()
own = cont.owner
scene = bge.logic.getCurrentScene()
cam = scene.objects['Camera']
vec = cam.worldOrientation.col[2].copy()
vec.z = 0
own.alignAxisToVect(-vec, 1)
Thank you so much you are the best.
