4.2 version doesn't load new features?

Hi,
I’ve installed the new 4.2 blender version and it shows it in the bottom. however when I load a scene it’s like the old version, there is no raytracing option, sun shadows and all the new features. Why is that?

The new Raytracing option is for the EEVEE render engine.

Oh, I didn’t know it was restricted to just EEVEE, thank you very much!
