A cinematic shot of a mechanical “tunnel” of some sort.
Most of the detail in this scene is procedual, though the big shapes are modeled. I initially wanted to add much more stuff into it, but I didn’t get the time to do it. And right now it takes a long time to render with the detail it has, so yeah.
Otherwise, I am pretty happy with it, I have a workflow for it now, so I am ready for new projects.
Neat tunnel!
I can’t pinpoint what it is but for some reason the scale seems off, it seems like everything is in a miniature model.
Other than that, looks great.
Can you describe how you got the twisting motion?
Thanks! Yeah, I should probably have put in some reference for scale. Personally I was thinking of something a bit thinner than the width of a train tunnel, like around 3 meters in diameter. A person should be able to move around in there at least.
The twisting is applied using a SimpleDeform modifier, and then later the curving is following a curve object.
A futuristic building, I didn’t get to work on preseting it very well, though (it’s been sooo long since I’ve used Blender Internal for rendering :O)
Not so much an environment this time… I can easily make a lot more unique buildings now that I have the building blocks made, though this is what I finished for today.
I did this quick viewport render turntable animation too: http://www.marcusrichter.dk/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/Building.gif (For some reason BA doesn’t allow posting .gif animations)
I have no idea what to make tomorrow - I’ll think of something.
WEDNESDAY UPDATE:
Dammit, I can feel my plans doing this are already crumbling - I didn’t get to make anything today, will see if I can have something ready tomorrow
