this is the shuttle i’ve been working on it’s gotten to the point where i don’t mind sharing it with others comments and advice welcome right now its rendered in cycles though i may go back to internal depending on how texturing go and render times,
got the basic interior for the cockpit laid out and basic design down, time to start adding buttons bobbles and widgets lights and gauges then finish up the engines and the grebbling for that to the various places to sit and work as well as working more on the paneling
Looking good as far as modeling goes, I’m not sure I know quite what’s going on in your first post with all those things and the arm-like spaceship.
I think i would make the feet pads a little bit bigger(more surface area contact with the ground)
What if the shuttle landed in a sandy environment, or wet marshy environment it would sink.
Maybe outfit the feet with like wide snowboard shape.(Ski’s)
or just make the pads bigger. look pretty cool though.
@owldude the arm like space ships are actually the landing gear with the pneumatic pistons set up and rigged, still trying to figure out how i’m going to attach a hoses to them
also the blasters that i have attached at the side of the ship, still need to add the turrets.
@holyenigma74 the feet are as about as big as i can make them and still have them fit inside the landing gear pods i may be able to make them a little bigger i’ll have to play with them a little and see how that goes
What about making the feet foldable? So they fold up to fit into the landing gear pads.
I’ve done some more work on the interior, i’m looking forward to getting a nvidia 680 soon so old 460 can end up being stuck doing every thing else and that can do rendering
That’s a very unique design, I love it. Great modeling too. You should join my group (All About Sci Fi) if you like doing stuff like this often.
