Hey guys!
Hope you’re having a nice weekend!
Here’s my latest project. A lounge chair concept I designed inspired by the Swedish North.
The base of the chair resembles the hooves and horn of a reindeer made in treated steel which is a material produced nearby in the city of Luleå. The seating and backrest is attached from the inside with screws that run through the high quality wood into the steel. A sturdy fabric with furry surface is used to resemble the skin of a reindeer.
I’m not by any means an industrial designer but tried to follow the concept of sketching the entire design as well as how the parts would attach (no, I wont show you the sketches because it looks like my 2 year old did them ). Haven’t completed the assembly renders but that’s the next step.
Anyway, I’m pretty happy with the design and how I incorporated elements resembling the North.
Hope you like it! Take care and stay safe!
