I red that nVidia is better for rendering in Blender and in OBS and in davincy resolve. What about modeling? How strong GPU would not be overkill. My last system had GTX 970, and it was always at low use, but when i loaded up 30GB mesh, the FPS was maybe 0.5, there it used slower system RAM. Can 680M work with 1-5 M poly meshes, if i load up 30GB mesh with 680M, it should be equally slow because it’s running from system RAM?
What about general system stability with Linux, which laptop would you get?
Legion 5 Pro 6800H 3070 64GB ram
Thinkpad T16 6850u 680M 32GB ram
Vivobook Pro 15x Oled 6800H 3060 32GB ram
Will say that once again: if I were to buy PC/Laptop nowadays I’d asked myself: what kinds of things would I do? Work with low poly or high poly modeling? Based on that, I think, it would much easier to choose a right hardware.
Me, I’m still using an old GTX 1060 6GB along with i5 6500 & 16GB of RAM. Yes, it is somewhat of medieval these days, and yes, sometimes I’m facing with a lot of stutters when my scene becomes an enormously large or if I am modeling something high poly, but when it comes to the low poly modeling, I feel myself much comfortable.
