For support please refer to the PixelModeller AI - Documentation, or use the contact details provided with your download. I only intend to use this page for updates and new feature announcements
Just to put minds at rest, this doesnât steal work from people, and wasnât trained on other peopleâs 3d models. Itâs an AI accelerated monocular depth based model generation system. Depth based modelling has been around for decades. The only thing the AI is doing here is speeding up the generation of much better depth maps.
The real power is the addonâs post depth generation suite of tools. They give the artist control over the end result by allowing them to artistically create something beyond the constraints of the generated depth map. Or just to save them a ton of manual labour.
Additionally the addon allows people to paint 3d models directly in Blenderâs 2d editors.
In other words, this is a tool to help artists (like myself), not replace them
PixelModeller AI has been updated to version 1.4.9. If you already own a copy of the addon, itâs available immediately in your Blender Market library. If you havenât yet heard of PixelModeller AI, then you can check it out here:
In this update:
Code optimisation and speed up.
Additional checks to prevent people trying to feed the AI a file instead of an image.
Fixed bug that would prevent correct operation when both the colour and depth are generated from the same image datablock.
More feature updates are also currently in development.
Hi, hope youâre doing well. PixelModeller has been updated and is available immediately from your superhive download folder
Changelog:
There are incompatibilities with the latest version of Torch that prevents Blender from importing it. As PixelModeller requires Torch, the install modules button will now limit torch to the previous working version until the Torch/Blender developers have resolved. If you have already installed the modules previously, and are not getting any error messages, you can continue using the old version, but youâll need to update before next installing the modules from the addonâs preferences.
If you donât have PixelModeller and would like to see what it does, check out:
Depth Modeller (previously PixelModeller) 1.5.2 adds compatibility for Blender 5.2 LTS. If youâre still using an earlier version of Blender, then you can continue to use Depth Modeller version 1.5.1.
Before installing the updated version, ensure you uninstall the previous version, restart Blender, re-install. Once installed, go to the addon properties and specify an empty folder for the AI modules, then click on âinstall or update AI modulesâ. Restart Blender again, and youâll be good to go.
