I’m excited to share my latest personal project with you.
After more than 10 films, I think this character needs no introduction.
As a personal challenge, I decided to develop this first project entirely on GNU/Linux. I wanted to test whether all the available software in 2024 could match my project needs compared to Windows, which is the standard for most of us.
I’m very pleased with my Ubuntu 24 KDE setup. While I didn’t get to test Marvelous Designer, everything else performed flawlessly (native Blender, ZBrush running on Lutris, native Substance Painter). The transition from After Effects to DaVinci Resolve Studio was the icing on the cake—truly enlightening and beneficial for me.
I’m thrilled with the results.
