Some strange geometry there…would need to see a wireframe to offer suggestions…
Looks like N - gon - subdiv problem…Subdiv do not likr N - gon.
Try select the tower…Go Edit Face select mode…Select the face - button of the tower…Press i move mouse to inset Faces.
