I am new to blender and while trying to follow a video tutorial about subdivision surfaces, I am having trouble with a couple of shortcuts.
The first one is shift-0. I choose a point of view in a perspective 3D viewport and according to the tutorial (versión 2.34) when pressing shift-0 the camera adopts that point of view. I try with my 2.41 version but nothing happens.
Second shortcut is Alt-B. According to the tutorial and to the HotKey and Mouseaction Reference in my own copy of blender, this shortcut allows you for the selection of face loops. When I do it all I get is the traditional box mode selection activated with a plain B.
Am I doing something wrong? Have these shortcuts been removed or renamed ?
For snapping your camera to the current 3-D view, use ctrl + alt + numpad 0.
For selecting edgeloops, try shift + alt + right mouse button. (This doesn’t seem to work 100% correctly, so you might need to click on additional verts in the loop to get them, but it does work on more simple edgeloops.)
Everything worked as you said. Thank you very much for your lightspeed answer! ¿Is there any place where I can get an updated list of shortcuts for version 2.41?
