A crutch. Might do other things, too.

Yesterday at Taekwondo class, we were kicking these big, soft shield things. After a bit, my instructor suggested that I attempt to jump and kick the shield twice before I landed.

The first attempt went great. I jumped, hit the shield twice, and landed well.

The second attempt was okay for the most part. I jumped, and kicked the bag twice before landing. The landing sucked. Sprained knee, owwy.

Anyway… I had to buy some crutches. I figured I’d go ahead and model some crutches since I can’t do anything else. ><

Here’s where I am so far. Just a screenshot from the preview renderer. Cycles is AWESOME.

Hello,
To start i wish that you recover that knee, and in the nest time try make 3 kicks
I love your Background … UBUNTU rocks …
some crazy thing you can make the connection off the first tube to the others whit a nylon clamp … to make less tedious … maybe the guy that use the crushes fall and brake a and or something …

sorry the English…

@ricaxe: I used my desktop as a background because I didn’t have a background map immediately handy. Thanks for the get-well wishes.

Added a few details. I think I’m gonna model a Doctor’s office, never had much success at interiors before…

This WiP is a 150 pass render, took about 20 seconds to render it. Cycles rocks so hard already… I can’t wait to see how it’ll be when it gets out of alpha…

Ric: I’ll take a break from the scene I’m making, and try to make the effect you’re looking for. I have an idea on how it would work, I’ll let you know.

Well, I went and got a few things done, then went back to blending. Here’s where I am so far. 500 pass render, the other walls and ceiling are on an unrendered layer.

Didn’t have a whole lot of time to work with blender today. Only made a couple of items, and set up some preliminary materials on stuff. 200 pass render, so it’s still not as clean as it could be. Only took about three minutes to render.

I like it so far. :stuck_out_tongue:

Added a baseboard, and tried out some lighting. Light setup is four lights from the ceiling, and a point light outside the room to (kind of ) simulate a sun. Need to make that one more yellowish maybe…

Anyone know if there’s an actual “Sun-type” light source in Cycles?

wow a lot of improvements … i think that the texture of the wall is to bump…
I think i can help you if you want, i never done interior with blender but i have a lot of experience from others 3d programs .

1- i think out of Scale; use this textures as a bump i think is better link
2- i think these model is more real if more simple, maybe make some dors up to down, if is a doctor office maybe white lacquered.
3- These stone looks like granite, i think that is to noisy, maybe a green onaye is better link (make some reflected like polish)

I hope that you liked …
