http://conceptart.org/forums/showthread.php?t=68448 discusses misrepresenting your work and a bunch of flaming. All and all its was a fun read that ended in a locked thread. I don’t really see any point in discussing any of it, nor do I think its worth anyone’s time to. The thread sums it all up on both sides well enough. Anyway just wanted to share it.
a good (and a little bewildering) read indeed: It’s amazing how far you can get with a well made fake and its equally amazing how a “spoiler” pointing out the fake will get into all kinds of ridicule if his target person is famous enough…
Thanks for sharing (although I didn’t make it past page two)!
I only read page one. Drama is interesting at first, but if you’ve seen it before than it gets boring pretty quick.
I remember reading the super long thread on CGtalk about that guy who stole everyones work. I don’t remember his name or the url, and I’m not going to search for it… but wow that was a fun read.
I found it interesting also. I actually feel sad for the “Linda” person. No amount of money can make any wrong a right. wrong or right, my heart kinda goes out to that woman.
too bad that the guy analyzing the “fraud” got the gestapo treatment.
