A hack to bring Indic fonts(Kannada language) into Blender

There seems no direct way to bring Indic fonts that is Indian fonts in to blender so far. At least i did not succeed even with unicode fonts. So i found a hack to do this. I typed my script in Microsoft word and then with snipping tool(which comes with ms word 2007 onwards) or any screen capture software, save it as png. Then brought it to Gimp: Under ‘Layer’ dialouge, select colour to alpha. Now you get only the text without any white background. then again save it as png. Now import it Inscape. Under ‘Path’ dialouge, select “Trace bitmap” option. Default values should work. Then save it as Plain SVG. Now in Blender enable import svg under addons. import your desired fonts in Blender and enjoy

You can type it directly in inkscape and convert object to path.
