I´d like to share a new scene with you. It was originally built for a client, who is currently about to renovate the whole thing. So the original scene in my opinion was far too clean, no dirt on the facade, everything looked too perfect. So I decided to add a little bit of dirt here and there to make it look more realistic.
Second picture shows the terrace that comes with the penthouse (new part of the building, 2 floors are being added on top of the original building. Hope you like it, looking forward to your feedback!
Dirt looks like it has too big a scale and goes up and over the stone, which is not realistic. For something like this you will have to be careful with the UV maps and maybe hand-draw or play around in Gimp/pshop to get them right. Looks fine on the background buildings (although in my view they look to long in the z axis)
The facade looks like it is just extruded from the building behind it. Probably just the angle, but it looks odd.
The facade is really close to the road, leaving virtually no footpath. Not a major problem since I know sopme places like that, but you may want to play with that.
The kerb in front of the garage door is not angled down to the road. I would hate to have to take my car in there and bump over the kerb each time, especially that it looks quite high.
